Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College Allied Health and Workforce Development

The new 180,000 SF Allied Health and Workforce Development Building was constructed in response to AB Tech’s 2010 Master Plan which rated it the highest priority critical needs project for the school. This state-of-the-art building allows the College to dramatically increase enrollment within the Allied Health Program.

The building houses new laboratories and support spaces specific to the Allied Health curriculum including a simulation lab, dental clinic, and surgical training facility in addition to classroom space and departmental offices. Workstations and public interaction space are strategically integrated into the layout to foster a sense of community and shared learning experiences. This new cutting edge facility will be a welcome home for the allied health department at AB Tech and will boost the College’s ability to effectively compete for top students and faculty.
